Position Purpose

  • To support the administration of the sailing club and its facilities.


  • Provide administrative support to WSC
  • Develop and distribute Club marketing and sales collateral
  • Communicate with Club and external customers.
  • Communicate with internally to ensure smooth operation between areas of the club
  • Assist in developing initiatives to increase participation in the use of sailing club facilities
  • Administer function and facility bookings
  • Order, maintain and audit club café and office facilities stock and equipment
  • Maintain upkeep of clubhouse and facilities
  • Administration of YA database and membership entries
  • Administration of boat storage and record keeping
  • Prepare reports for expenditure and requests for approval by General Manager
  • Complete other administrative functions as directed by the Office Manager and General Manager
  • Comply with, and adopt, all Club policies and Club operating and administrative procedures.
  • Attend staff & committee meetings as required.
  • Attend occasional Club functions.

From time to time the incumbent may be directed to perform duties outside of this list. Should these duties and or the time allocated to each significantly change, the role may be analysed to ensure successful performance is possible.

Person Specification


  • Higher School Certificate or similar


  • Administration experience
  • Previous Club experience/working environment desirable.
  • Sales and marketing experience


  • Knowledge of the sporting industry experience is required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Database administration and basic accounting skills
  • Computer & IT skills with intermediate competency (Word, Excel, Database, Website designs and Marketing methods, Flyers and Posters)
  • NSW Driver’s License
  • Current Working with Children Clearance

  • Level 2/Senior/Apply First Aid
  • Current CPR
  • HSC/VCE equivalent

  • National Police Check
