  • VPSG-2 range $48,489 – $62,267 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • Two (2) full time, fixed term positions available (until 16/11/2017 and 31/12/2017 respectively)
  • Working within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands, VIC 3008*

About the role:
The PCO Employment Team is an energetic, collaborative and high functioning team that oversee the end to end recruitment process for Police Custody Officers across 22 different locations and Supervising PCO Recruitment across 15 different locations. As a Recruitment Support Administrator, provide support and assistance to the PCO Employment Team through your interactions with candidates, providers and hiring managers.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Team Leader, PCO Employment, you will demonstrate high levels of initiative and self-discipline to succeed in this busy role.
  • Assisting in receiving, processing and assessing applications for employment with Victoria Police by applying rules and standards in accordance with approved and established recruitment policies and procedures
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; explaining rules and suggesting alternative approaches to support the efficient and equitable processing of applications
  • Provide information and draft routine correspondence to applicants outlining the recruitment steps and expected timeframes relating to the process, including medical booklets
  • Participate in information sessions and recruitment support activities required at career expos, agility testing sessions and other recruitment activities
  • Provide office support such as maintaining standard office equipment and software, organising meetings, answering telephone enquiries and undertaking processing work including data entry, purchasing, payments, candidate documentation and background reports

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated administration experience
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Experience as a recruitment administrator is highly desirable
  • Qualification in Fitness related field is highly desirable

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The successful candidate may be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • Your usual place of work will be within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
