We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Pathologist to join our small team who have established the new veterinary curriculum at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus. We currently have two American boarded pathologists on staff and are seeking an additional Pathologist with a strong service focus to complement our team.

Our western boundary is a wonderful sandy coastline without crowds. East lies the spectacular rolling scenery of the Adelaide Hills. To our north, the world renowned Barossa and Clare valleys, home to Australia’s premier wine growing and gourmet food culture. The historic Roseworthy Campus, situated within 20 minutes drive of the Barossa Valley, is the home of Australia’s oldest Agricultural College as well as Australia’s newest Veterinary School. To be successful in this position you will need to be a Veterinarian with a higher degree in veterinary pathology to work collaboratively as a member of our veterinary diagnostic team. The appointed person will be expected to provide the diagnostic pathology service as part of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. There may be an opportunity to participate in teaching and research.
You should have:
Advanced training in veterinary pathology or veterinary clinical pathology
Experience of working in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory
A higher degree, preferably at doctorate level or equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of teaching and research teams.
A qualification in veterinary science acceptable for registration in South Australia.
Specialist qualifications in veterinary pathology are highly desirable.
Demonstrable experience in tertiary level curriculum development and administration is desirable at all levels.
The University will provide visa sponsorship and an attractive relocation package to successful national and international candidates.
Salary: (Level B) $83,620 – $99,300 per annum, (Level C) $102,429 – $118,113 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
Term of Position: This continuing position is available immediately.
