We put a great deal of importance in our vacation program because we know Newmont’s future success relies heavily on today’s students. That’s why our paid vacation program includes a comprehensive look at all aspects of Newmont’s operations – from the corporate side of our company to the mining processes in the field.
Spending a summer as a Newmont vacation student is a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you with a deeper understanding of the mining industry, newfound friendships and a glimpse of what a career with Newmont is like.
Newmont expects a lot from our vacation students. You’ll help us solve problems, you’ll assume responsibilities and you’ll get your hands dirty.
But in the end you’ll get much more in return from the personal growth experiences and the satisfaction of a job well done.
From the applied knowledge to friendships gained, a Newmont vacation employment program yields many riches. That’s why many of our vacation students return for a second year and why we convert a large number of our graduating students into full-time roles.
We usually look for students in their 2 nd or penultimate year, although we may also accept a small intake of 1 st year students. If you possess a strong academic record and a background of personal achievement and a genuine interest in working in remote environments, we encourage you to apply.
