Through partnering with the business and building strong relationships with management at all levels, you will have responsibility for developing and implementing HR programs at a site level. Your ability to build credibility among the leadership team and employee groups will be the key to your success in this role. Although this role is generalist in nature, you will be focused primarily on delivering HR projects and providing employee relations support.
The Position • Partner with leadership teams ‘at the coal face’ to develop and deliver proactive HR programs • Influence and encourage a positive workplace culture that supports the Company’s objectives and values • Create and maintain positive working relationships between Managers and Employees and to ensure that Managers effectively and independently follow TNT’s Policies and Processes in dealing with matters that might arise • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR related matters • Maintain HR policies that are in compliance with relevant laws and support the Company’s broader strategy • Provide support with performance counselling and disciplinary matters • Working closely with other HR functions including recruitment, learning & development and work, health and safety to support the broader HR strategy. The Person • University/graduate level, preferably in a HR/ER related area • 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources advisory or related position • Proven experience and knowledge in effective people management practices, including performance management, complaint handling, training and coaching. • Experience in interacting and partnering with middle to senior level management to achieve defined business objectives. • Understanding of employee relations processes and activities. • Experience in dealing with industrial relations issues in a unionised workplace. • Knowledge of the business levers, processes and structures • Experience in a blue collar environment (desirable) Benefits • Supportive and friendly team culture • Develop a long term career with an international company
