The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences was established in 1994. The constituent divisions of the School are Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology. Undergraduate programs are available in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology with graduate entry programs available in all divisions. Each division also offers a number of postgraduate coursework and higher degree research programs. Each of the undergraduate degree programs is of four years’ duration and includes both preclinical and clinical study offered in an integrated way. Except for the Audiology Program, the graduate entry programs are accelerated two-year programs, inclusive of summer semesters.
Considerable emphasis is placed within the educational programs on problem solving and diagnostic decision-making and students are guided in the processes of systematic and holistic assessment and the selection and effective implementation of management approaches. Each discipline prepares students to operate within the health, education and related systems and to contribute meaningfully to team efforts. Teaching to multidisciplinary groups within the School paves the way for interdisciplinary involvement in client care and interdisciplinary research. Students within each of the four divisions gain supervised professional experience as part of their academic program and on completion of their degree; graduates are ready for immediate entry to their profession. The School operates client-oriented clinics to support the teaching and research activities of the School and to provide a service to the community.
All disciplines within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences are active in research and are making significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in their professions. The School offers Research Higher Degree programs in all disciplines.
The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (Clinics) of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences have a longstanding reputation for providing allied health services in its work-integrated learning environment. The Clinics offers adult and paediatric Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology services.

This role will offer you the opportunity to develop and implement systems and processes to support high quality clinical education and services in a growing and changing organisation.
The Role This position manages the Audiology Clinics’ day to day operations. It supervises Audiology clinical educator positions, has a close working relationship with the academic staff, and is part of a larger clinical team of over forty-five allied health practitioners.
The position is responsible for identifying, pursuing and establishing opportunities for growth of the Audiology clinical services and to enhance student learning. The position participates in clinical education, supervision and practice. The position needs to balance client/patient needs with academic/teaching and business requirements. The appointee will have currency of clinical practice and demonstrate management experience.
The Person Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Audiology with extensive relevant experience in clinical practice and management. Applicants are required to have a current Certificate of Clinical Practice of the Audiology Australia, a valid Driver’s license and valid Blue Card. Knowledge of clinical education issues and enthusiasm for innovative teaching are essential. Applicants should have experience to demonstrate readiness as a practitioner, educator, and manager within our large multi-disciplinary facility.
The ideal applicant will have exceptional developed clinical skills, experience in service development and clinical education, outstanding interpersonal and organisational abilities, and possess a proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Remuneration The position is a full-time, fixed term appointment for three years at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range of $92,811 to $104,214 pa., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of $108,589 to $121,930 p.a.).
