The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality individualised care to families who attend the Child and Family Health Service with children 0-5 years through assessment, early identification, prevention & referral as indicated. The service is provided in both the clinic and home setting. All members of staff are required to work in any of the eight (8) Early Childhood Health Centres as the need arises. The role also encompasses work within our central intake service. This role includes arranging baby’s 1-4 week check via telephone appointment, triaging the method of appointment and giving clinical advice to the family as required

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Child and Family Health team to fill a temporary full time vacancy to 28th January 2018. The position involves working with families and children up to 5 years conducting health assessments, early identification, advice, parenting support and required as required. The successful applicant must be able to work with both adult and child. The service is delivered in both clinic and home setting and some work on our central intake may be required.

This position is Temporary Full Time up to 28/01/2018 and is classified as a Registered Nurse.

Selection Criteria
1. Registered Nurse with current licence to practice from Australian health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

2. Qualifications in Child & Family Health Nursing with recent CFH experience or near completion of course

3. Relevant recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and experience in assisting mothers with lactation

4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively alone and as a team member in a multidisciplinary team

6. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload

7. Computer literaracy

8. Current NSW Drivers’ licence
