The Outpatient clerk provides accurate information to General Practitioners, Department of Community Services, schools, community health facilities and rural hospitals with regard to available outpatient services. The clerk liaises with medical records staff concerning retrieval and delivery of patient files and with parents, visitors and interpreters and attend meetings as required.
This position is Permanent Part Time working 20 hours per week and is classified as an Administrative Officer Level 3.
Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

1. Ability to operate the Outpatients Department busy call centre, ne (NEC DTERM SYSTEM).
2. Experience in iPM ( Patient Administration System) PAS, eMR (Electronic Medical Records), PBRC (Electronic Billing System).
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Understanding of Outpatients operation and booking system.
5. Excelent customer service and computer skills.
6. Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
7. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
8. Ability to liase with parents and clinical staff in a professional manner.
