    About the Role As the Place and Train Consultant you will be required to provide high quality employment preparation, sales and marketing, employment placement and post placement to eligible participants and employers. You will ensure that The Bridge Employment DES program is a provider of choice for participants.

    You are able to contribute to service goals including employment targets in order to meet contract requirements and the current business plan for the employment services division.

    You have the ability to work within The Bridge Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, Disability Standards, Funding contracts and relevant legislation requirements.

    About You You have experience or knowledge of effective strategies to assist disadvantaged people into employment. You are an effective communicator who is highly organised and possesses strong time management skills. You enjoy building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders and you are able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively to achieve service outcomes and have a positive attitude towards helping disadvantaged people into employment.

    To be considered for this role you will meet the following selection criteria:


    • Demonstrates ability to assist disadvantaged people into employment or wanting a career in assisting disadvantaged people into suitable employment.
    • Experience with or knowledge of effective strategies for assisting people to overcome barriers to employment.
    • Proven ability to reverse market, cold call and build rapport with all external stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to manage time and workload requirements efficiently to meet business priorities.
    • Flexibility to meet business deadlines together with a multitasking attitude.
    • Ability to work unsupervised in a challenging and diverse environments, using creative thinking.
    • Demonstrates responsiveness and adaptability in dealings with participants and employers.
    • Displays excellent interpersonal, communication, rapport building and negotiating skills. (Effective Negotiation and Conflict resolution skills).
    • Works collaboratively with others to achieve service outcomes.
    • Demonstrated ability to undertake research regarding employment matters, training providers and community supports.
    • Knowledge of employment and training programs, employer networks and community services particularly in the South, Peninsula and South East regions of Melbourne.
    • Training provided for the right applicant.
    • Proven computer literacy and data management skills, using multiple systems.
    • Possession of a current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence.


    • Understanding of Marketing strategies and Networking.

    This role will be classified as: Labour Market Assistance Industry Award 2010 Training and Placement Officer Grade 2

    or proceed with Standard Application Form.
