The Microsoft UC Support Technical Expert is a Subject Matter Expert with Cross Domain understanding of all aspects of the Microsoft Windows Server and Office 365 product offerings.
As the Technical Expert you drive process improvements to deliver best practice Assurance and Change outcomes from a customer and technical point of view to match the contracted deliverables. You will perform complex assurance, major incident and change support activities across the varied customer solution involving products & technologies including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Identity Management, O365, Hybrid solutions and other third party software applications used in Telstra Unified Communications and Contact Centre solutions.
You are a collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Your ability to harness these skills to ensure timely resolution of Network issues and escalated will be pivotal to your success in this environment. In addition to BAU, you will also participate in knowledge transfers and mentoring to team members for complex issues that may arise. To make this happen, you will demonstrate highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communications skills including the ability to lead, negotiate, influence and work collaboratively with others to make decisions
You will also prepare & deliver technical training, updates or briefings to team members and liaise when required with account team members, network architects, project, practice and TSO Level 3 teams on new and existing platforms and solutions for variations or new technical responsibilities.
Further, you will identify and drive operational excellence through various initiative like triaging automation, proactive customer issues reduction and assistance in identifying and managing quality of deliverables.
What we looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and qualifications:
- A degree in Telecommunications or equivalent.
- A genuine desire for a future people leadership position
- At least 5 years’ experience in service activation and assurance
- Have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Products, Technologies, Networks and assurance functions
- Provide after-hours assurance support on a recall rota system.
- Proven experience in high level support role dealing with customers and complex platform issues.
- Solid knowledge or qualifications across the following technologies: Windows Server, Cloud Technology, Skype for Business
- Windows Server MCSE (Highly Desirable)
- Office 365 MCSA (Highly Desirable)
- MCSE Communication (Desirable)
