As a Senior Business Manager, the purpose of this role is to lead, coach and develop a team that will drive and deliver operational and transformational change through process improvements, as well as enhancements to data integrity and system governance. This team will “fix the basics” and drive continuous improvement in reporting capability and capacity.

The role will drive systems and process development, implementation and improvement, driving a customer focused culture that delivers on performance metrics. The role will also ensure that adequate governance and controls are maintained and improved where appropriate.

Key responsibilities include:
Partner in determining the strategic direction to enable the delivery of improved reporting capability and capacity to Retail Finance and the wider business through collaboration with key stakeholders.

Managing and implementing the continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the appropriate mitigations are considered to minimise or eliminate any impact to the business

Managing and implementing key projects including report simplification and optimisation and delivery of key enablers to support implementation of the new operating model. This will need to be balanced with ensuring the appropriate mitigations are considered to minimise or eliminate any impact on the business

Ensuring changes to processes and/or the operating model are managed through appropriate frameworks with clear lines of accountability

Ensuring effective demand management disciplines are in place to enable the appropriate consideration of competing priorities from key stakeholders to maximise the value delivered to the enterprise

Ensuring adequate governance and controls are maintained and improved where appropriate

Engaging and influencing internal stakeholders to stimulate behaviours that achieve strategic and commercial financial objectives.

Managing and fostering the relationship between Retail Finance and Global Financial Services (GFS).

In order to be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications:

Extensive experience in process mapping and improvement

Experience in managing and developing a team

Solving complex problems

Contribution to developing strategy

Experience influencing senior stakeholders – internal and external

Demonstrable success in communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders & business partners

Experience in working with complex data sets

Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy, detail & insight

Experience in working in a matrix structure

Previous project management experience preferred, including experience in developing a reporting roadmap
