Responsibilities Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide direction to the Regional Manager, People Shared Services in ensuring the individual regional people and shared services processes are executed within the required timeframes and to the highest quality.
  • Contribute to the development of people and shared services strategies throughout the transition to the new operating model ensuring that all shared services are maintained to the highest level of customer satisfaction in compliance with the legislative regulatory and TAFE NSW requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, People Shared Services, Business Process Analyst and the Regional Managers in the development and analysis of process mapping to determine operational best practice and to identify potential systematic weaknesses.
  • Investigate, interrogate and analyse the current shared services processes and procedures across all Regions and utilise metrics and reports to provide a critical assessment of their quality, efficiency and effectiveness to inform the development of a One TAFE Shared Services Operational model encompassing payroll, recruitment, entitlements and employee services.
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Analyst to assess the volume and complexity of supporting systems and of transferred payroll and functionally related work content and applications to then develop strategies to enhancing their technological capability.
  • Collaborate on current and future change projects to position TAFE NSW towards a sustainable People Shared Services model that embodies best practice and positively communicate change initiatives to engage and motivate staff in embracing new and improved transactional processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the integrity of all shared services activities and procedures governing the administering of employee’s superannuation contributions and entitlements, including salary sacrifice options, comply with the conditions of TAFE NSW’s superannuation policy guarantees and legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and implement a governance framework to ensure shared services management and staff understand responsibilities to comply with policies, processes and procedures to meet audit requirements and to add value to operational and qualitative service delivery to TAFE NSW.
  • By example, lead the development of a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment, including implementation and review of appropriate strategies and measures.
  • Place the customer at the centre of all decision making.
  • Manage and develop a high performance team, aligned to the core values of integrity, collaboration, excellence and a customer first attitude, through effective leadership, support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the development and regular review of meaningful individual performance management and development plans that are clearly aligned to strategic objectives and focused to develop the individual.
