We are currently looking for a Print Production Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting with the profitability and growth of the Print division by the successful production of client-specific products or services which require creation, design, and/ or manufacture with external suppliers and internal service providers, as well as proactively reporting such to relevant stakeholders.

Our aim is through comprehensive industry knowledge to deliver best in class service to our clients, ensuring that procured goods/ services are quoted, ordered, manufactured and delivered accurately on time, contributing to company targets/ budgets.

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity awaits for a highly motivated professional to join our Melbourne based team in a Print Support Coordinator role within our Print Production team. The successful applicant will work with the VIC/TAS Print Production Manager and team and be responsible for the following:
• Manage purchasing activity through SAP
• Taking print briefs and obtaining quotes via P3
• Managing suppliers, the production process and ensuring samples and goods are delivered on time
• Following up on quoting and production information
• Work independently and also work with the Procurement and Account Management Team.
• Provide VIC/TAS Print Production Manager with status updates on key projects
• Reporting (analysis of Stock on Hand reports and provide Work In Progress reports)

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that Production is viewed as a service to facilitate the sales function to achieve set budget and targets
• Managing and prioritising requests through designated drop boxes (primarily responsible for daily replenishment orders)
• Adopt and project a “can-do”, solution focused attitude that supports project deliverables
• Provide world class customer service to internal and external customers in line with Staples values
• Manage all artwork, production, quality checks and supply chain requirements, confirming job lead times to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Sourcing products from preferred suppliers, preparing product costing sheets and quotations for clients and managing job production to delivery
• Proactively drive customer outcomes through assigned production workflows including purchase order, artwork, quoting, production and delivery.
• Provide visibility of all work activity by way of current, proactive WIP reporting in P3 on all production, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed on time in an accurate and professional manner
• Manage the quoting activity through our online, internal quoting system and purchasing activity for Import jobs
• Assist with tender response pricing
• General day-to-day reporting (Open P.O reports, invoice discrepancy reports, WIPs / SOH etc)

• Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience
• SAP experience or a similar business management software
• Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Experience in production coordination/estimating preferred
• Demonstration of experience through multiple technology platforms for print manufacture/ management
• Experience in production planning and resource allocations to deliver on multiple and competing deadlines
• Ability to problem solve independently
• Understanding of the relationship with Supply Chain operations and functions (ie: inventory, receiving, transport)

Preferred:
• Print Management / Print Industry / Promotional Marketing experience
• SAP experience in purchasing and BOM’s (or a similar business management software)
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (ability to manipulate data via macros and formulas) and Word skills
