    About the Department
    The Department of Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne is a recognised leader in Regional Anaesthesia research. An opportunity exists for a Clinical Research Assistant to join this dynamic research team within this department. This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinical research activities.

    About the Role
    An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Clinical Research Assistant to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine team on a part time fixed term basis until April 2018, working 22.80 hours per week.

    Duties

    • Assess the quality of patient recovery
    • Collect other patient-centred outcomes and routine registry data
    • Recruit participants to trials and develop documentation for new clinical trials
    • Follow-up of patients may require liaising with the managing clinical unit’s medical and nursing staff
    • Participate in planning of staff and research group meetings, ensuring trial plan implementation.

    Skills, Experience and Qualifications

    • Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline (eg. science / health science / psychology)
    • Demonstrate excellent time management, organisational
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a diverse range of community groups.
