The Role

Due to ongoing expansion of the AE Smith business in NSW and the ACT we are currently seeking an experienced Minor Works Manager for NSW/ACT to provide technical and project support to our team. The Minor Works Manager NSW/ACT will be responsible for preparing and delivering cost estimates and tenders to the Client for project installation works and ensuring contracts are delivered at a high standard within specifications. The Minor Works Manager NSW/ACT will work closely with other key stokeholds and internal business to offer the client a one stop turnkey solution to the mechanical and electrical needs.

The successful applicant will have a proven experience in the small to large project environment specifically in HVAC&R with electrical knowledge and experience looked upon favourably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work undertaken is in line with company and legislative safety requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential stakeholders both external and internal
  • Actively seek out market opportunities and deliver sale targets
  • Prepare and deliver cost estimates and tenders to the Client for project installation works
  • Create and implement technical designs of projects
  • Coordinate activities, resources, and equipment including sub-contractor management
  • Provide financial and operational project forecasting
  • Ensure all work undertaken is in line with current building codes legislation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Trade Certification
  • Driver License
  • Certificate in Project Management
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Previous experience supervising staff and coordinating contractors
  • Ability to interpret commercial contracts and facilitate requirements in a timely manner
