This position is a Job share role with dual responsibility for the management, development and co-ordination of Occupational Therapy services for the Bega Valley Health Service. The position has line management responsibilities for Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants working across the Bega, Pambula and Eden sites. The position has a clinical role relevant to the skills, experience and staffing requirements within the Bega Valley Health Service. This includes, but is not limited to, paediatrics, adult rehabilitation, health promotion, acute and community care. The position is responsible for recruitment, retention, staff development, quality assurance and managing a budget.

This is a Permanent Part Time position, working 10 hours per week, and classified as Occupational Therapist Level 5. This position is located in Bega which belongs to Southern NSW Local Health District.

Selection Criteria
Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation
Agency(AHPRA)

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage an Occupational Therapy Department when working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience and willingness to undertake quality improvement activities.

Demonstrated understanding of current trends in delivery of health services nationally and particularly in NSW.

Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in a Hospital and Community Health setting.

Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the Health Service.
