  • Indicative Total Remuneration: $66,603 – $81,572 (pro rata) – AHP1; $86,052 – $99,495 (pro rata) – AHP2 – Perm P/T (18.75 hrs p/wk)
  • As part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, you will provide a specialist social work service to consumers, their carers and families to achieve consumer-centred goals. Providing a comprehensive psychosocial assessment that includes carers and family members wherever possible, you will undertake specialised casework including brief therapeutic and crisis management interventions and the use of appropriate therapy and counselling techniques. You will also play a key role in educating carers, families and others as to the nature of mental illness, including risk factors for the re-emergence of symptoms. You will ensure seamlessness of service provision through advocacy, liaison and mobilisation of community resources including mental health services and other health and welfare agencies as appropriate. This will include prioritising workloads to respond to the identified psychosocial issues that impact upon consumer journey and self-management for successful transition to the community from an inpatient setting.     You must hold an appropriate degree or an equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). You will have proven experience in providing a broad range of clinical and consultative services across a range of service settings, including one-on-one, group based and health promotion activities. You will also be committed to applying consumer-centred practice and community engagement principles in development and delivery of services, ensuring consumers are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
