KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Actively contribute to the development of a culture consistent with the values of Rural Health West. As a member of the Outreach in the Outback team, contribute to the aims and objectives of Rural Health West to ensure the sustainable provision of well governed and consumer focused services. Coordinate and maintain the delivery of outreach health services funded through Outreach in the Outback programs in Western Australia. LEVEL OF KEY RESPONSIBILITY The incumbent will work as a member of the Outreach in the Outback team and will be responsible to the Manager, Outreach in the Outback. STATEMENT OF DUTIES Under the broad direction of Manager, Outreach in the Outback and supervised by Program Officer Level 6:
Assist with the planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating of Outreach in the Outback programs.
Advise service providers and local health services on the planning and development of proposals, in accordance with service delivery standards, to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Contribute to strategic and operational matters relating to all programs.
Participate in stakeholder consultation, in partnership with Regional Advisers, to ensure effective relationships in the regions.
Monitor the delivery of contracted outreach health services and maintain regular communications with service providers within allocated portfolios.
Assist service providers with variations to service schedules and resolution of issues, including recruitment of health professionals.
Update and maintain databases and records in accordance with organisational policy.
Provide support to other team members to ensure the efficient implementation of all programs, including leave cover when required.
Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies in line with Rural Heath West policy.
Contribute to the development of a positive culture in the workplace.

SELECTION CRITERIA Essential
Well developed written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work productively as part of a team and demonstrate initiative.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective problem solving, research and analytical skills.
Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email.
Willingness to contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Ability to travel by air, including overnight stays. Desirable
Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency.
Experience in reviewing financial or statistical data.
Understanding of rural and remote health issues in Western Australia. APPOINTMENT FACTORS
The normal working week will be 37.5 hours, but some additional after hours and occasional weekend work will be required.
Occasional travel, including overnight stays, will be required.
