The Team
Our Corporate Value Advisory (CVA) group helps clients to understand and model the value implications of growth and restructuring decisions, investment choices and commercial negotiations by providing advice around the value of businesses, equity instruments and options.

The Tangible Asset Valuation (PP&E) division in CVA in Sydney is seeking to recruit an Associate Director with a strong quantitative background and interest in machinery and equipment assets to work on a broad diversity of assignments with a well established and high profile client portfolio.
The Tangible Asset Valuation service offering includes:

  • Valuations for CVA clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, purchase price accounting, fair value reporting, impairment testing, taxation, insurance, finance and other purposes;
  • The provision of valuation support to the other service lines in the firm, including tax, transaction services, corporate advisory restructuring, and private clients, etc.
  • Strategic asset management, due diligence and asset advisory services
  • Fixed asset register audits and rebuilds

About the role:
This opportunity will see you join a new division within PwC that is growing at an exceptional rate, with exposure to high calibre clients and the PwC network throughout Australia and overseas. You will be part of a team of forward thinking experts who will assist you as you build your technical skill set and knowledge of the valuations market.

Your primary focus as an Associate Director will be to ensure the highest level of service delivery on all engagements as well as initiating and following through on business and client development.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing client proposals and leading client meetings;
  • Sustaining existing client relationships and developing internal relationships within the PwC domestic and global network;
  • Undertaking valuation projects as part of a larger team of financial valuation experts and communicating the importance and implications of tangible asset valuations;
  • Being the main contact on engagements originating from the Sydney office, as well as working with other staff and sub-contract personnel from other geographical areas;
  • Assisting the Director and Partners to complete valuation projects and engagements on-time and on-budget;
  • Improving internal valuation procedures and processes; and
  • Innovating and assisting in leading the industry in thought leadership and new service offerings.

About you:
The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have exceptional problem solving skills and an astute commercial mind set. You will have an enquiring mind as to “how things work” and be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

You will ideally have a valuation qualification and have completed a valuation, engineering, commerce or finance degree.
