WHAT WE NEED

We are currently seeking a highly-experienced Business Analyst with Business Intelligence expertise for an initial 3-month State Govt. contract opportunity. To be considered for this role you must be proficient across the following areas:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.

Demonstrated experience, in requirements gathering, documenting business and functional requirements, gap analysis, stakeholder consultation.

Ability to work closely with a diverse range of staff with varying levels of technical and IT understanding.

Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, negotiation, facilitation, analytical, and

problem-solving skills.

Ability to produce documentation of high quality in accordance with recognised industry standards which can be consumed by stakeholders with varying levels of technical and IT understanding.

Excellence in time management, organisational, and prioritisation skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities within tight time frames.

The ability to document current business processes.

Previous exposure in performing a gap analysis between the capabilities of the incumbent BI tool and the new tools.

For the preferred solution, the ability to prepare a ‘phase out’ strategy document which outlines the high level project plan steps including ‘cut-over’ to new tool, resources required, communication strategy, risks, costs and dependencies.

Major system gaps and/or risk assessments.

Barriers to implementing new systems.

Th ability to prepare a project brief a business case for a solution(s) to high priority system gaps.

Previous exposure in Performance Dashboard requirements consultation with key stakeholders in QIP and executive.

Previous exposure in documenting the requirements of the performance dashboard;

Document a sustainable solution that automates as much as possible and can be easily modified each year for new, modified or retired indicators.

Provide assistance as required with the management of the build and test phase;

Handover to business owners.

WHAT WE LIKE

Ideally, you will possess significant hands on experience within SA Government, in addition, you will have outstanding communication and negotiation skills with significant experience in stakeholder management.
