  • My client is a global, instantly recognisable, wireless communications market leader. This group owns and operates a number of high profile, critical networks in Australia and continues to dominate the radio network industry.

    This role will be involved in a major project update of radio network involving installation and radio programming.

    You will also provide the necessary in field support of digital mobile radio communication system infrastructure and end users at various radio sites or customer locations, to ensure service levels and operational performance measures are met.

    Your duties will cover

    • Perform a variety of tasks to modify, repair, maintain and install radio communication systems, equipment, parts and accessories.
    • Analyse technical problems using test equipment
    • Diagnose and correct malfunctions in radio equipment including linking microwave, multiplexing equipment, RF antenna and power systems.
    • Identify and implement areas for improvement to ensure improved service quality and best practice delivery.
    • Liaise with customers to discuss incident concerns or complaints, instigating corrective actions where required.
    • Ensure all operational documentations remain up to date and relevant.
    • May be required to supervise and co-ordinate field duties with other field staff or sub-contractors.
    • Participation in the on-call roster at a later stage

    To be successful in this role you will have

    • 4+ years experience in radio frequency
    • Certificate III or IV in Electronics/Radio Trades certificate, IT or relevant trade qualification
    • Demonstrated fieldwork in RF, equipment repair, two-way radios, and base stations and perform workshop repairs
    • Previous exposure to using digital communication testing equipment on Radio Frequency
    • Demonstrated experience with customer facing (essential)
    • Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Flexibility to participate in an on-call roster
    • A valid driver’s license (essential)
    • Vehicle provided
