The Department of Finance, Services & Innovation (DFSI) is a service provider, regulator and central agency of government. We are transforming the way we do business to help make NSW great.

Reporting into the Executive Director Central Policy Office, this role provides an opportunity for a passionate and skilled policy leader to join the Central Policy Office (CPO) in the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation.

As the Director, Cabinet and Policy Projects, you will lead a team responsible for managing the Cabinet and ERC coordination process across DFSI. You will also be responsible for driving policy development on a range of select, high priority and complex policy issues that will advance the NSW Government’s finance, service reform, innovation and better regulation objectives, as defined by DFSI’s Secretary and Ministers.

You will consult closely with relevant stakeholders and provide strategic policy advice to the Secretary and Ministers, with a particular focus on issues requiring coordination across the department and between agencies.

As a talented and driven policy professional, you will partner with DFSI’s divisions to ensure the cluster’s Cabinet and ERC submissions are delivered in a high quality, timely way, and that select policy projects are developed and implemented well.

You will have extensive senior stakeholder management skills and experience, ideally gained in a large, complex organisation. A combination of policy and Cabinet process experience would be beneficial, and consulting experience desirable.
