The role of the Assistant in Nursing [AIN] within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol [MHDA] Services is to support both the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse [RN].
The AIN assists in the provision of nursing care to mental health patients within an acute care setting and provides within their identified tasks direct patient care activities that support the recovery of acute mental health patients under the supervision of a RN. The role also involves the collecting of health care information, documenting and communicating the information back to the RN.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant in Nursing who has a commitment to working in mental health. This position will give you the opportunity to work in the adult inpatient unit, to develop your mental health nursing skills within a supportive clinical environment.
This position is Permanent Full Time and is classified as an Assistant in Nursing. Note that employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if the position cannot be filled on a permanent basis.
