An exciting opportunity exists for an innovative, passionate and detail-orientated Sub-editor to join our Inside Out team. We are looking for someone with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, fact-check copy and edit content to ensure that our brand always maintains the highest editorial standards. The role also has a digital component where you will be regularly producing and contributing content to our website.
You will work closely and support the Chief Sub-editor to:
Oversee the creation of a variety of content, with a focus on accuracy and maintaining the brand voice
Write creative and engaging headlines, intros and captions, as well as feature pieces where required
Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to create pages that are accurate and engaging
Strengthen audience engagement and ensure our printed and digital content is relevant, innovative and of the highest standard
You will also work closely and support the Online Producer to:
Oversee the creation and management of a variety of digital content on a daily basis
With an eagle eye for detail, accuracy, consistency and quality, you will have proven sub-editing experience, in particular sub-editing the homes category. Your exceptional grammar and editing skills will be combined with an impressive flair for words and knack for injecting personality into headlines, intros and news pieces.
Your exceptional communications skills will come to the fore when liaising and managing the expectations of our small but well-oiled team, as well as our advertising departments and clients.
Your passion for interior design and strong understanding of the homes category will see you thrive in being part of a high-performing team, who are committed to content excellence and exceptional client service.
