Your role in the future:
In your new role as Network Integrity MAC Specialist within Network Integrity (NI), you will participate in the delivery of the MACs program of work on behalf of the Network Integrity Manager.
You will support all day to day operational matters related to MACs for the nbn network. During design, build commission and accept phases you will play a pivotal role in relation to Network MACs build solutions and provide support where there is a requirement to go onsite and assess the premises and recommend the best network solution.
You will coordinate several functional groups to achieve smooth integration onto the Network, whilst meeting target based outcomes to budget, within KPI’s, across multiple geographic locations.
You can contribute to:
Reviewing and accepting incoming MAC Requests in accordance with scope, technical requirements and complexity
Liaising with third parties on network technical requirements including Telco’s, Utilities, Road and Local authorities
Assessing design and providing technical support for Delivery Partners (DP’s) and internal staff on technical requirements
Assisting in the implementation of major projects and FTAR activity on behalf of the State in conjunction with the National Support team
Engaging with DPs on site pre, during and post construction ensuring jobs are completed on time to a high quality
Create and update nbn systems (Change management, Maximo and inventory systems, etc)
Input into, and implementation of, the long and short term strategies for MACs.

A bit about you:
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly senior level. You can work autonomously and effectively influence others in order to achieve a positive outcome for all stakeholders.
Your resume will demonstrate extensive experience in multiple MTM technologies such as FTTP, FTTN, FTTB, FTTC and HFC combined with experience in handling major fault resolution within a business enterprise. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills are essential.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability will see you thrive in this role as well as a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines.
You will have a focus on process improvement and always seeking to do things more efficiently with the same resources. You should also be comfortable with change – nbn is a fast moving organisation with a lot of change and new challenges every day. We think it’s great, but understand it’s not for everyone.
Minimal regional and interstate travel will be required.
