Pro-rata of $64,563 – $74,160 pa HEW Level 05

The Opportunity Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) is adventurous, forward-thinking and committed to innovative and experimental art and curatorial practice. With a focus on contemporary art since the 1960s, MUMA is a dynamic site for cultural production, encouraging academic and community engagement to become an international centre of excellence in contemporary visual art.

MUMA is currently seeking an experienced Curator who will provide curatorial expertise and support to the director to assist with the development and implementation of MUMA’s artistic program. We are looking for a creative-minded individual who thrives in a team environment and can confidently liaise with a diversity of stakeholders. If you have a tertiary qualification in art history, museum studies, or a related field and are passionate about contemporary art, you could be our ideal candidate.

This role will see you contribute to all stages of the development of exhibitions and programs at MUMA, from undertaking research on artists and artworks to preparing budgets for and reports on exhibitions.
