About the role

As the Child Care Educator Supervisor – Kentish, you will assist with the development, implementation and delivery of a high quality childcare program for children 0-12 years of age as part of the Kentish Child Care service. You will also be in charge of the day to day running and supervision of the service, ensuring the service meets its duty of care in the provision of a high quality and contractually compliant Child Care Service to Families in Tasmania.

Duties

  • Program Support – develop programs where children are engaged & stimulated in a safe & fun environment
  • Relationship Management – supervise & support a team of Educators, empowering them to carry out their duties as well as build positive and strong relationships with Families & all key stakeholders
  • Compliance – ensure the day-to-day running of the Service in line with policies, procedures & regulations & that the National Quality Framework (NQF) is adhered to

Qualifications & experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an Early Learning Service Centre
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Sound knowledge of Early Years Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place (MTOP) & the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Strong communication skills & the ability to guide & mentor Educaters, Carers & Nannies within a Child Care Service
  • Excellent time management and relationship building skills liaising with all key stakeholders
  • Proactively promote Work, Health & Safety practises and ensure procedures and in place to mitigate risks and ensure the health and safety of workers, clients and visitors.
