MediRecruit Doctor is recruiting for O & G Registrars who are available to commence as soon as possible to join a large teaching Hospital.
There are just over 2,000 public deliveries annually. The hospital is the tertiary referral centre for neonatal intensive care and high risk obstetrics.
The full range gynaecological services are provided including urogynaecology, colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopy and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery.
Referral centre for the State Gynaecological Oncology service with two sub-specialists.
Specialist fertility services are provided by a visiting Reproductive Endocrine and Infertility sub-specialist and a visiting Paediatric Gynaecologist.
Research is required is well supported for all trainees.
Ultrasound training is provided through the clinics, Dept. of Medical Imaging and the Feto Maternal Unit.
The Hospital offers excellent experience in both general and high-risk obstetrics, Gynaecologic Oncology and general gynaecology along with a scheduled paid four hour educational and quality review session each week.
The training is general with a wide exposure to all facets of obstetrics & gynaecology. There is ample practical work in both obstetrics and gynaecology, including supervised operating, ultrasound, high risk obstetrics, colposcopy, urogynaecology and endoscopy. The work involves combined obstetrics and gynaecology, including oncology.
The Hospital provides acute, sub-acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people in the region and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. There is a 30 bed Obstetric Unit, a Pregnancy Assessment Centre, a 10 bed Gynaecology Unit, Women’s Clinics with 4 general obstetrics clinics, along with one Obstetrics Endocrine Clinic, one Complex Care Clinic, one High Risk Pregnancy Clinic, four general Gynaecology Clinics, several special Clinics and 5 Colposcopy Clinics a week.
Skills & Qualifications required:
Registrable as a Senior Registrar with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated high level clinical management experience
Demonstrated strong commitment to supervision and teaching at all levels including medical, nursing and allied health professional staff
Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee level 5 or 6 to the standard accredited by RANZCOG or equivalent.
