  • Link Health and Community (Link HC) is a multi-sited community health service and early childhood early intervention (ECEI) partner, providing a comprehensive range of health, early childhood and community services.

    Link HC is a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) partner delivering early Childhood Early Intervention Services in Eastern Metro Melbourne and Inner Gippsland areas.

    They are currently looking for a Community Engagement Manager, based in the Eastern metro area, servicing the Eastern metro and Inner Gippsland areas, the Community Engagement Manager will share their vision of providing accessible, innovative, high quality services and programs to children (0-6yrs) and their families.

    Reporting to the General Manager NDIS, as a part of the ECEI leadership team, the Community Engagement Manager will work in a collaborative manner with community based organisations to build and expand opportunities for greater social participation for all children they work with, regardless of whether they are participants in the scheme. The Community Engagement Manager will be pivotal in communicating information on the NDIS ECEI service delivery model, to organisations and the general community, this will involve delivering community education programs, building key stakeholder networks, supporting clinical staff with developing community connections and implementing a community capacity building plan.

    The Community Engagement Manager will also work to build internal capacity among the ECEI staff to engage local community and build relationships with key stakeholders.

    The Community Engagement Manager will work in a collaborative manner with the team to produce Communication and Marketing plans and campaigns that build awareness and engagement with Link HC ECEI services and the NDIS.

    The role requirements are as follows:

    • Provide community education in relation to the NDIS ECEI service model
    • Effectively communicate the role of an NDIS ECEI Partner to the community
    • Develop and implement a community capacity building plan
    • Support clinical staff to build and facilitate community connections
    • Develop key stakeholder networks
    • Facilitate and support a community development approach
    • Build community awareness of Link HC ECEI services

    Tertiary qualified in a communications or community development discipline, you will already have proven yourself in a similar role within a disability, child development or community based setting. A clear and confident presenter, you can explain and communicate complex issues to a broad range of audiences. A current Police Check and Victorian drivers licence are essential.
