Following the success of the 2016 Jobs4Youth SA program, Maxima has been appointed as the successful provider for the Jobs4Youth 2017 program. The program will support the establishment of up to 200 entry-level positions in the South Australian Public Sector, effectively training and recruiting the next generation of public sector employees. Our client, the Office for the Public Sector, is seeking a recently or nearly completed Graduate with a minimum 3 year Bachelor qualification in a relevant discipline to undertake a 12 month position with SA Health, at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The Graduate Medical Records Officer will be based within the Medical Records Service Unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woodville. They will report directly to the Supervisor and Team Leader.

The Graduate Medical Records Officer will:
Be employed within a South Australian Public Sector agency; SA Health, Medical Records Service, TQEH full-time for 12 months.
Receive practical work experience whilst studying a Public Sector Fundamentals skills set.
Be required to satisfactorily complete a Background Screening and National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to employment.

Key duties will include but not be limited to:
Providing medical records for patient care.

Scanning of paperwork into Electronic Patient Administration System (EPAS), and Quality Assurance (QA) of scanned paperwork in EPAS.

Majority of required tasks involve QA of EPAS scanned documents.

There is very limited scope for variation of duties.

Attend to all enquiries/requests from internal and external customers in a professional, courteous, positive and timely manner.

Liaise with all staff and patients in an effective and friendly way to promote better customer service.
The successful applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and:

Be capable of good customer service.

Have attention to detail.

Be able to carry out repetitive tasks.

Be flexible (roster with different starting and finishing times, some weekends).

Competent computing skills, including email and word processing

Be able to withstand occupational physical demands requiring strength, posture and mobility include; repetitive tasks, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and lifting (up to 10-15kg)

Be able to research, access, and apply information to support workgroup operations and client requests.
