We have an available Fixed Term Part Time Patient Services Officer role as part of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Administration traineeship at the Mater Hospital Sydney, while completing a Certificate III in Health Administration for two years. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Mater Hospital within our Patient Administration Department.

The Opportunity

The Patient Services / Administration Officer is responsible for providing dedicated administrative support in an allocated Patient Services Department through the provision of an effective and friendly admission and discharge service, efficient preparation of patient paperwork, responsive service to patients, relatives, doctors and Hospital staff.

The candidate must have:
A genuine interest in health administration
Efficient time management skills
Strong customer service focus and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
Highly skilled in the use of the full Microsoft Office Suite
