    • Do you have experience supporting young people at risk to remain engaged in education and progress in their academic achievement?
    • Could you lead a small team of skilled staff and volunteers and ensure high quality services are being delivered to young people attending education programs?
    • Are you able to build and maintain relationships with partner agencies, schools and the community to facilitate project objectives?
    • Are you looking for a role which combines your leadership skills with direct service delivery?

    We’re looking for someone who has initiative, energy, and is a team player. We also need someone who has some flexibility in their hours to accommodate program requirements. You’ll be responsible for a vibrant, engaging after school homework support program and other programs that help young people stay engaged at school and thriving.

    Selection Criteria
    Essential:

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Welfare, or equivalent experience
    • Experience in working with young people, particularly youth at risk and an understanding of challenges faced by young people in remaining engaged in education or seeking higher education opportunities.
    • Experience in leading and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.
    • High level of communication and report writing skills.
    • Experience in fulfilling contractual requirements for a program.
    • The ability to work autonomously and flexibly (under limited direction from Management) and contribute as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
    • A high standard of professional and ethical behaviour and commitment to the philosophy, values and mission of Marist180.
    • Working with Children’s Check and National Criminal Record Check
