Quality, Risk and WHS Manager (0.8 or full-time)

Launceston City Mission is seeking a Quality Manager with experience in QIC standards and auditing, as well as Risk and WHS.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quality Management
  • Qualifications and experience in WHS/Risk
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating an organisation-wide Quality Management System
  • Working knowledge of QIC Quality Standards
  • Proven experience in implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in policy and procedure writing.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the implementation of WHS & Risk Management Systems across a variety of work environments.
  • Ability to give and receive direction in a WHS environment.
  • Skills in management reporting and time management.
  • High attention to fine detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Highly Proficient with MS Office.
  • National Police Check is required for all roles at LCM

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience working with Australian Quality Standards and International Quality Standards.
  • Experience or demonstrated capacity to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.
  • Working With Vulnerable People Card

This position requires the employee to coordinate all elements of audit and accreditation for the organisation and assist staff to implement continuous improvement initiatives; identify and analyse existing and potential risks to the Organisation; develop, assess and administer policies, procedures and work practices to meet LCM’s legislative and organisational requirements whilst minimising liability exposure; and ensure WHS requirements are undertaken.

The position requires the employee to develop working relationships with management, peers, stakeholders and other functional areas within the organisation.

Primarily the Quality, Risk and WHS Manager will be responsible for: the ongoing development of: the Quality Management System; the Risk Management system; and the development and implementation of organisation-wide WHS systems and strategies.

Hours will be negotiable with the successful candidate (0.8 to 1.0 FTE) and Salary Sacrifice is available.
