As a leading law firm in Australia and Asia, we have an important role to play in the wider community.

In 2009, Allens became the first top-tier law firm in Australia to launch a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our Reconciliation Action Plan focuses on the development of relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, the fostering of respect and the creation of opportunities. The aim is to enable our firm to play a role in closing the gap that exists between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Our Winter Indigenous Legal Internship is a two-week program designed to give Indigenous law students exposure to a commercial legal environment and provide learning and development opportunities. This program has been running since 2006 with 13 interns commencing across our Australian offices in 2011, 17 interns in 2012 and 21 interns in 2013.

The internship will provide you with challenging work and access to leaders in their fields, give you space to explore your strengths, and support to reach your potential.
