To provide pharmaceutical services commensurate with the SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services (Pharmacy Technician chapter)….

To provide pharmaceutical services commensurate with the SHPA Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Services (Pharmacy Technician chapter).

This successful applicant/s will be appointed at the classification of Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 or Grade 2 depending on qualifications.

An eligibility list will be created for similar positions, both permanent and temporary, in the future.

Selection Criteria
Completed nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level III or IV or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.

Demonstrated skills in time management and prioritisation of tasks to ensure completion of targets and duties.

Demonstrated experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital setting.

Demonstrated skills in managing conflict within teams.

Familiarity with pharmacy related software and general software – iPharmacy, MedChart (or other electronic prescribing and medication administration software), Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint.

Demonstrated involvement in medication safety and quality improvement projects.
