As part of a multidisciplinary team, provide assessment, consultation, and clinical management of children and adolescents (their families and carers) who are referred to the community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service .The aim is to ensure high quality, consumer centred care in accordance with the relevant legislation, National Mental Health standards, organisational policies and procedures and professional standards of practice.

An eligibility list will be created for similar positions, both Permanent and Temporary, in the future.

Selection Criteria
Must hold a degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or Aboriginal Mental Health Professional (CSU Djirruwang Program) or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the
relevant professional association/full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Demonstrated ability to conduct community based risk assessments on children and adolescents, including suicide risk and mental health assessment.

Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate clinical and care co-ordination services to children, adolescents and their families using a range of appropriate evidence based interventions.

Well developed oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop networks and liaise effectively with service providers.

Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Current driver’s licence (NSW eligibility).

Demonstrated high level proficiency in the use of computers for communication and record keeping.
