We are seeking a full time administrative assistant to work in our Newcastle workers compensation team. This role provides secretarial and office administrative support to our growing team in Newcastle.

Duties

The role:
We are seeking a full time administrative assistant to work in our Newcastle workers compensation team. This role provides secretarial and office administrative support to our growing team in Newcastle.

Key responsibilities include:
Receive and screen visitors and callers

Scanning and distribution of all mail

Organises and maintains files for all legal documents, office records

Diary management to monitor court and client timeframes and providing reminders to lawyer as required and arranging meetings and appointments when requested

Generation of correspondence for standard processes including service of court documents and evidence and costs.

General office maintenance

Skills required include:
Basic understanding of legal terminology, principles, procedures and forms as related to secretarial work performed

Basic knowledge of different jurisdictions and their forms and processes

Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment

Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn new skills

Ability to work as part of a team

File management and diary management skills
