The Metropolitan Community Services Team is now seeking applications for our Service Coordinator role.

Reporting to the Supervisor Planning & Coordination, Service Coordinators are responsible for assessing the needs of new clients and reviewing the changing needs of existing clients of Metropolitan Community Services in developing care plans and coordinating services and referrals.

As a Service Coordinator you are expected to maintain professional working relations with clinical support staff, other supervisors, service delivery and administrative staff and volunteers within Metropolitan Community Services – a single team comprising three sectors, each managed by a member of the Metropolitan Community Services Management Group. These sectors include

Metropolitan Community Services provides a wide range of services to meet the individual needs of clients in regions of Metropolitan Adelaide. Service Coordinator resources are located within the Access & Coordination sector.

To be successful in this role you will ideally hold a Diploma in Community Services or have equivalent experience. You will have experience in analysing client needs and supervising Service Delivery staff and volunteers involved in the provision of community services, and have a demonstrated commitment to efficiently meet the needs of external and internal clients

You will also possess excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills including the development and delivery of presentations as well as demonstrated high levels of interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and the ability to be cross culturally sensitive.

A Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to undergo a Police Clearance is required.
