  • Are you a tertiary qualified individual with strong capabilities in project management within the disability sector? Healthscope Independence Services is looking to employ a specialist in the field of Organisational Development and disability service delivery for a 12 month contract.

    As the Change Practice Leader, you will be responsible for driving major organisational culture change strategy aimed at strengthening organisational effectiveness, developing people capabilities and improving links within the disability sector. Reporting to the General Manager, you are also responsible for managing the introduction of a contemporary disability service model which is focused to improve our workforce capacity to deliver high quality outcomes for clients. In addition, you will also lead and develop quality enhancements and drive a culture that is able to delivery on contemporary disability practice.

    Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) is a specialist provider of unique accommodation, attendant care and in-home services to individuals with acquired brain injuries, other disabilities or complex conditions and others leaving hospital requiring extra support at home. HIS is certified under Victoria DHS Standards and ISO9001:2008.

    HIS is committed to re-orientating its current service model towards a more contemporary disability service model that enables greater choice and control by clients and promotes clients’ engagement in everyday activities at home and their participation in valued life roles in their local communities

    Selection Criteria:

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Disability, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Organisational Development, Education and/or Training, Business Management or equivalent
    • Demonstrated experience in a disability sector work environment
    • Extensive experience in organisational development including workforce planning, change management and leadership development in a large and complex service organisation
    • Highly developed project management skills
    • Strong understanding of contemporary disability practice, the principles and objectives of the disability reform agenda in Australia, and cultural/organisational change drivers
    • Exceptional influence and negotiation skills at an executive level
    • Demonstrated understanding of the application of relevant standards to practice e.g. the Disability Act 2006 and the Statewide Disability Standards.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder relationship management
    • High level of computer literacy with a range of applications including, MS Office, Email, Internet
    • Strong understanding of adult learning styles
    • Well developed facilitation skills
