The Role:
Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity is currently available for a Construction Manager to join our Doncaster Head Office team. The main focus of this diverse role will be to lead, train and mentor a team of Supervisors to implement and manage the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events. The successful applicant will supervise works in progress and will liaise with clients, subcontractors and insurance companies, ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a team of Supervisors
Build & maintain successful relationships with Insurers, Adjusters & Direct Work Clients
Lead & manage Supervisors KPI’s
Drive the development of new processes & systems around delivery
Monitor performance of Supervisors & be directly involved in their work
Assist in forecasting of invoicing, undertaking Cost Reporting & Debtor management
Develop solutions to address gaps in performance or patterns that are predictive of upcoming risks and issues
Monitor Supervisor Progression in the business and constantly train/up skill individuals
Anticipate critical needs for talent & ensure the right people with the right competencies are performing effectively in every position
Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements

Key Selection Criteria:
Prior experience in a similar managerial role
Building trade background, preferably in carpentry
Insurance building background highly advantageous, however not essential
Ability to lead & motivate a team
Excellent communication, customer service & interpersonal skills
Confident & professional phone manner
Strong computer skills
Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation & regulations
Understanding of current market rates & trades
Be well presented
Dispute resolution skills
Good work ethic & be highly motivated
Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities
Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
Valid & current motor vehicle licence
