Support Services Lead – Local Government Pilot

Location : Melbourne – CBD
Classification : VPS 5.1
Salary range : $90,980 – $100,429 per annum plus superannuation (FTE, pro-rata)
Employment type : Fixed term until 30 June 2018, part-time 0.8 FTE 30.4 hours per week
The Support Services Lead – Local Government Pilot role will see you lead a team to design and deliver a strategic support services system as part of the Local Government Environment Protection Officer (LGEPO) Pilot program committed to by Government in response to the independent Inquiry into EPA. Critical to your success will be your ability to scope a program that will give LGEPOs access to legal advice, technical support, mentoring, EPA authorised officers and a community of practice and deliver this within appropriate timeframes. In order to achieve project outcomes and build buy-in, you will actively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a holistic support services program.
You bring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, which have seen you deliver comprehensive support programs with buy-in from a range of stakeholders. With a qualification in science, environment, law, economics or business management, you have a track record of leading teams to deliver projects within tight timeframes. You have broad experience in commercial or government environments, and ideally have knowledge of regulatory frameworks and operations within statutory authorities and local government.
