Our client, a leading Not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a Vocation, Training and Education (VET) qualified trainer to deliver the Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) to remote communities.

The role will be based in Alice Springs and is a full-time for 12 months. In this role you fly/drive to remote communities to co-ordinate and deliver training in Individual Support. In the role you may also train Certificate II in Community Services and Foundation Skills.

Accommodation will be provided in the communities. You would typically train in communities for 2-3 weeks and return to Alice Springs for 2 weeks where responsibilities would include non-training delivery activities ie conducting assessments, administration, review and validation of learning materials. Subsidised shared housing will be provided in Alice Springs.

We’re looking for a creative and flexible trainer with a student outcomes focus who has demonstrated experience in the delivery of Cert III in Individual Support or Aged Care, experience with training Indigenous students and ideally, working experience in remote communities. This role is available until 30.6.18.

YOU MUST HAVE:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the LLN Unit
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent
Current industry experience in Individual Support, Aged Care or the care industry
Proven experience in delivering VET courses and achieving high levels of student of participation, retention and completion
Experience in designing and developing training and assessment materials and participating in validation and moderation
An understanding of and respect for diversity, and Indigenous Australian culture and customs

IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE:
Experience working in remote communities
