Ongoing, Full-time role (35 hours per week)

Clerk Grade 9/10, Salary ($102,838 to $113,324 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About us

The Department of Justice supports the NSW community by providing access to justice services, through the protection of rights and public safety initiatives.

Courts and Tribunal Services manages and supports the largest court and tribunal network in the country. There are 164 courts and tribunals throughout NSW, many in regional and rural areas.

About the role

The Registrar/Deputy Registrar leads a registry team to meet statutory and administrative obligations and deliver high quality and professional services to clients. The role may also lead a number of smaller registries within the region and works collaboratively with the Office of the Sheriff on matters pertaining to delivery of customer centric services.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate their abilities to do the following:

leading and developing staff whilst promoting a working environment that values teamwork, ethical behaviour and good performance

managing the efficient and effective operation of the registry ensuring that relevant legislation and policies and procedures are complied with

providing the Regional Director/Registrar with timely and accurate information and reporting on operational issues, risks, budgets and progress of reforms

contributing to the development and implementation of the business plan and regional strategies that meet the identified needs of a diverse set of clients.

The successful candidate must also have the capacity to undertake the statutory functions of a Registrar.
