About us

The Built Environment and Business Sustainability (BEBS) operates within the Finance Infrastructure and Governance division of the Department of Justice and Regulation. BEBS is responsible for the centralised supply and delivery of the following services:

  • property and infrastructure projects
  • buildings and accommodation
  • environmental policy, practices and performance
  • financial governance and commercial support
  • asset management and maintenance
  • vehicle fleet administration, records management and mailroom services.

The role of Financial Operations, Project Compliance, Procurement and Staff Services is to provide expertise in the areas of:

  • financial performance and its related accounting services and responsibilities
  • contract, purchase order and invoice management processes
  • capital project reporting to the department and government
  • strategic sourcing and delivery of expert contract management
  • fleet and parking services
  • mail and courier management
  • records management and storage.

About the role

The Procurement Officer’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Procurement Manager in leading the strategic sourcing and delivery of expert contract management, along with providing guidance and assistance with procurement knowledge and skills across BEBS to ensure compliant and consistent procurement management, in line with policy frameworks.

  • advanced procurement and contract management expertise
  • excellent planning and organisational skills
  • strong stakeholder management skills.

A relevant contract management, procurement or business qualification would be highly desirable.
