The NSW Department of Education serves the community by leading the provision of world-class education. The department protects young children by regulating preschool and long day care providers. Once children move into school, we provide them with a world-class primary and secondary education. We also work to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) leads the provision of state-of-the-art information and communication technologies to students, teachers and non-teaching staff in NSW government schools and staff in departmental offices. It is responsible for delivering and maintaining the electronic administrative, corporate and learning systems utilised across the Department, and ensuring that the technology policies and standards are developed and implemented to manage, support and enhance the Department’s ICT infrastructure and services.

About the role

The role contributes to the delivery of high quality ICT services to NSW public schools and departmental offices through incident diagnosis and resolution for complex issues, together with deployment of the department’s standardised infrastructure, hardware and systems. The role also provides technical advice in relation to the deployment of standardised ICT products and services to NSW public schools and departmental offices.
