Role

The primary role of the position is to teach young people at educational risk who are at all levels of ability aged 10 – 18 years, or older, in cross-curriculum classrooms in a youth custodial setting.

The position develops curriculum and implements Individual Learning Plans and Group Education Programs. The role includes educational assessment; teaching; record management and reporting; curriculum development; moderation; and asset and resource management.

Relief teachers are ALSO REQUIRED to fill roles when classroom and vocational teachers are on leave.
Job related requirements

Applicants must be registered with the Teachers Registration Board of WA.

Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.
