The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Standards Officer to be a part of our Competence and Assurance Team within NSW TrainLink. This position plays a key role in providing oversight of workforce and operations within designated region to ensure delivery to the required standards of NSW TrainLink, contributing to the achievement of operational objectives.

When preparing your application

  • Your written application must stand on its merits. The completeness and relevance of your application will determine whether or not you are called for an interview.

Successful completion of the relevant training course including the acquisition of qualifications in the operation and management of relevant Rollingstock.

Rail Safety Worker Certificate of Competency indicating accreditation as a Train Driver (or above) for a minimum of 5 years continuous service.

Extensive knowledge and experience of the network, NSW Trains services and operational areas.

Ability to work across the organisation to manage competence performance issues with technical aspects relating to Rail Safety Worker roles.

Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems.

Highly developed oral, written and electronic communication skills and effective interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
