About the Role

The Leasing Manager is responsible for the leasing of our client’s diverse Retail, Office and Industrial Portfolio. You will play in integral role in fostering efficient, harmonious and close working relationships between Cushman & Wakefield, the Client, Landlords and Tenants.
Reporting to the Account Director and working closely within the national team, you will ensure contractual obligations and expectations regarding service delivery are met at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage and develop a small scale team who are outcome focussed
Assume responsibility of meeting all critical date requirements within the State
Delivery of Leasing Services to clients as per individual client contracts including database management, critical date management, reporting and transactional requirements
Ensure rent review negotiations on behalf of clients are performed efficiently and proficiently
Attend to, and negotiate lease renewals and option renewals for tenanted and leasehold properties as instructed by the client in accordance with work process flows
Organise and oversee new site and relocation opportunities
Liaise with client’s solicitors to facilitate the preparation of appropriate lease and licence documentation as approved
Assist in preparation of detailed monthly reports of leasing activity as well as any other reports required by the client
Negotiation of lease surrenders
Preparation of letters of offer to lease / sub-lease in accordance with client instruction
Site inspections, condition reports and market/critical date reports as required
Undertake cost vs income analysis and market research
You will have relevant experience in the Commercial Real Estate / Property Industry with relevant tertiary qualifications in Property / Business or similar. You will also demonstrate the below:
Strong client and tenant relationship building skills
Ability to juggle multiple transactions and tasks whilst working to deadlines
Experience in property administration, including a thorough understanding of common commercial & industrial leasing practices, legislation, procedures and terminology.
Experience in working on a corporate tenant portfolio is highly desirable
Experience in preparing business case proposals and presenting to senior management
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to problem solve and work through complex discussions
