We are recruiting for a well-established company known in the industry for their quality supply and servicing of forklifts and trucks. This is a full time role located on the outskirts of Adelaide.

The qualities we are looking for to be selected for this role are as follows:

• Diagnose and trouble shoot software and hardware issues
• Customer Service and communication skills
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of tools
• Be able to assist in repairs of units in the workshop
• Assist other workshop techs as required
• Servicing and repairs on various sizes and models of forklifts
• Carryout all PM services on all IC engine and battery electric trucks except VNA and HET
• Read and interpret IC truck and BE truck circuit diagrams and take relevant voltage and current reading around the circuit We are recruiting for a well-established company known in the industry for their quality supply and servicing of forklifts and trucks. Servicing and repairs on various sizes and models of forklifts

Carryout all PM services on all IC engine and battery electric trucks except VNA and HET

Read and interpret IC truck and BE truck circuit diagrams and take relevant voltage and current reading around the circuit

Technician MUST then show the ability to service and repair either or both of the following truck types as listed below within Level 3

Level 3 Engine Truck

Service and repairs on the internal combustion engine

Understanding of the fault code system used on the LHC and LTC controls

Diagnose faults, repair and service the LPG system (licensed technicians only)

Overhaul LPG converter and mixer

Idle and power valve adjustments to company specifications

Diagnose faults, repair and service the mechanical diesel fuel system

Removal and installation of the injector pump

Setting the correct pump timing on all company mechanical injection systems

Diagnose faults in the truck electrical system, lights, starter, alternator etc.

Have an understanding of the basic operation of the company hydrostatic components

Carry out basic adjustments and pressure testing of the hydraulic control of the hydrostatic transmission except 353

Level 3 Battery Electric

Have a basic understanding of electric motor and solid state control theory (MOSFETS).

Undertake testing and diagnosis of solid state motor control equipment using diagnostic test sheets.

Carryout diagnosis of batteries including interpretation of BDR data.

Diagnose faults and repair pallet trucks (T & N and Baker series) using Truck Doctor and/or diagnostic test sheets and/or diagnostic handsets

You will operate equipment safely and use safe work habits while performing the job function.

To be successful in this role you must have;

Forklift licence

Driver’s License

General product knowledge of motors (electric & IC)

Proven experience in Fork lift repairs.

Understanding of OH&S obligations.

Computer skills in Microsoft office packages – Word, Excel & Outlook.

Communication and interpersonal skills.

Good customer service skills.

Understanding of the selling process.
