A brilliant opportunity has opened up for a Commis Chef located in Hobart, with our client on a casual basis. Join a leading team: Our client is Tasmania’s leading conference and events hotel which maintains a significant profile in the tourism, corporate and events market. Here’s what you will be doing: You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met as well as performing various duties within the kitchen. Applicants will need their driver’s license and own vehicle.
Duties will include: Ensuring good hygiene and health and safety is adhered to at all times Preparing ingredients for the team Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes Helping with deliveries of stock Experience and skills required: Must have experience in a kitchen environment Experience preparing vegetables, meat, fish, pastries and sauces is required Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment An understanding of menu planning Must have an understanding of the implementation of stock controls What you need for success: Our client is looking for someone who is hardworking and possess strong communication skills.
